A-T STUDENTS ARE AWESOME!!!!

Read Across America was a success and a great experience for everyone involved. The students started taking AR tests early this morning with an energy level that could not be contained. The quiz counter was on display for students to check the number of quizzes taken throughout the United States. At noon the quiz count broke last year's goal!!! Thank you to Leslie Sessions, Tech. Director who outdid herself with creating the website for the event. Thank you teachers for taking time to help promote and take part in this grand event. Students thank you for the energy you showed in participating in the event. You are all awesome readers!!!!!

On March 2nd, students will have an opportunity to read books the entire day and take Accelerated Reader quizzes. Last year students across the United States took 2,188,756 quizzes. The goal this year is to surpass last year's number. The Austwell-Tivoli students will contribute to the program by taking tests to help reach the goal. GO! REDFISH!!!!

6th Grade Visits Libraries via Internet

Sixth Grade students divided into groups for a class discussion on libraries in Texas. Each group agreed on a site to visit on the web. As they were researching, the students were finding many different events that other libraries had on their schedule. Students were amazed at how libraries had time for all the events. The groups will continue visiting other libraries(on the web) and then decide on a library that they would want to visit.

Scholastic Book Fair is Underway

Students can shop at the bookfair all week long. In addition, families are welcome to visit on Monday, Nov. 7th from 5-7 for Family Reading Night.
